Finally scanning my whole body!

From the day I was first diagnosed I wanted to have a full body scan. Because how do you know that cancer wasn't hiding in any other part of my body?!

After previously asking twice and being denied, it was only after finding out it had spread to 3 of my nodes that they then finally gave me one.

Taken to my own room, the radiotracer was injected into a vein in my arm. Instructed to sit alone and wait for the next hour for it to reach all of the cells around my body.

I was then taken into a different room, faced with the spaceship looking scanner, a larger open tube with a bed in the middle. I was then positioned to lay down with my arms above my head, unable to move for the next 30 minutes as the machine worked it's magic.

It came to an abrupt stop as quick as it had started, with beeping lights as the doors swung open and the nurses came rushing back in. Not realising the metal in my leggings had set off the alarms - oops! I was asked to strip down and given a sexy back gown to put on instead. I was repositioned and the scanner restarted.
