26th January 2023, Kent & Canterbury Hospital

Radiotherapy is finally finished. 20/20 DONE ✅🙌🏻

Today I feel grateful that I no longer have to drive to the hospital. 🙌🏻

For the last 4 weeks I have been going daily. With my arms up in stirrups, laying there feeling pretty exposed as 3 or 4 people hurry around me adjusting and lining me up, marking me with dots to then let the machine work it’s magic.

And although nothing could be as bad as the chemotherapy, the daily grind of going to the hospital day in, day out for a whole month becomes draining.

Juggling working throughout, with my boob steadily looking more sunburnt and sore and the tiredness catching up on me I’m relieved to get this part over.

Thank you for the lovely people that came along for the drive. 🙏🏻🚙

I imagined this milestone to feel a lot more exciting but instead I just feel bloody exhausted from it all. Celebrating with an extra early night. 💤
